Panty Hose
By Walter Small

This is in regards to the "Rash Tip"...

I know Desitin has an odor, the other two products I am not familiar with. I know of an odorless prevention for the chafing problem, but you must throw out your machismo.

A friend of mine goes on horseback hunts and never gets a case of the saddle sores, yet he only rides when on these hunts. I asked him what his secret is and he told me the first thing he puts on when he wakes up in the morning alone in his tent is…a pair of women's panty hose. He said his wife suggested it to him and he hasn't had a case of saddle sores since. Yes, I tried this and it works. And they are odorless so you don't spook any game with weird Desitin or other odors. They are cheap enough to take a pair for every day of your hunt and take up very little packing space.

Editor's Note: How to put these darn things on!

Most brands have a sizing chart based on your height and weight. Some brands have a front/back and some don't, so pay attention to this. Handle the stockings gently. It is easy to tear the nylon by pulling too hard or by snagging the material on a fingernail.

Sit down. Remove nylons from the package. With two hands start gathering one leg of the nylon working your thumbs on the inside and fingers outside until you get to the foot area of the nylon. Insert your foot and work the nylon up your calf. Be careful not to pull too hard. Repeat with other leg.

Stand up and stretch the nylons up both legs and up to your waist. The fit should be form-fitting but comfortable.
