Tradbow Tailgating
By Guy Perkins, Camp Chef
Sometimes I am amazed at how we traditional bowhunters go about the art of eating while hunting. Some pack a sandwich or protein bar, but many of us go without lunch. The next time you go to a shoot, or on a day hunt where you will return to your vehicle around noon, try a little "Tradbow Tailgating." If you are alone, the social event around food may be a bit odd, talking to yourself and all, but no one is around to witness it.When the Cache Valley crew storms out on the bunny hunt it looks something like this.
You can't control the hunt, but if the food is bad, that is your fault. The added energy from a hot meal may keep you alert enough for your arrow to find the target.
Editor's Note: Camp Chef has been kind enough to offer one of the stoves shown in the picture for another Tip Drawing. Submit a tip of the week and your name will be entered in a drawing for the Ranger II Blind Stove. Please include your tip write-up, an image or two to help tell the story, and your full name and address. Email your tip to webmaster@tradbow.com. The drawing will be held on February 28, 2012 and one random winner will receive this great prize. Many thanks to Camp Chef for their generosity.
